In Sickness and in Health
Lord, when sickness holds us in its grip,
It’s then we take a Jesus trip.
Quite sure you’ll help us through each day,
For without you we would lose our way.
For what would be our fate without you?
We can’t do a thing without you.
These things, O Lord, I’ve come to see,
My Holy Family cares for me.
Right within my house you stay,
Teaching me to walk your way.
In living room, bedroom and kitchen, too
You’re close to me in all I do.
Thus in sickness and in health,
You fill my days with constant wealth.
Jesus, Joseph and Mary dear,
I don’t see you walking here.
Yet I know that you are with me,
Morning, noon and night you live with me.
You make my house a house of prayer
And keep me safe within your care.
A million thanks I give to you
For all your love and for all you do.
