My Morning Prayer

Good morning, Jesus, Savior. I'd like to start this day

By rendering thanksgiving to you, and so I say,

All praise, all love, all honor, be yours, my holy Lord.

You are the Son of Heaven, God’s own begotten Word

 

Brought down to earth from heaven, to take on human form.

You’re the center of our living, our hope, our Easter morn.

How blessed now am I to have you here with me;

My lover, my Redeemer, my FRIEND FOR LIFE, please be!

 

So, it will be, dear Jesus, until my life is done

And I go forth to meet you, my blessed Holy One!

To be with you forever — forever and a day;

This, for now, will cover all the things I have to say.

 

Except walk with me, Jesus, throughout my waking hours

In the perfect understanding that, thanks to you, is ours.

You see, I love you and I know that you love me!

My dearest Jesus, you've made my day for me!
