Sublime Simplicity

A bird flew by my window,

He seemed happy, unburdened with care.

A rosebud that grows in my garden

Is humbly content to be there.

A lady said "yes" to an angel;

Mary, of course, was her name.

She was lowly and quite unassuming,

With no aspirations whatever to fame.

Thus the weak things of the world are chosen

By God to work out His plan;

Simple, yet fool-proof, His methods;

The result: the salvation of man.
